The exterior had some scuffs in the paint that needed to be buffed out...
Not all scratches and scrapes are equal. If the scratch penetrates the clear coat, the damage is permanent. Buffing will only "blend in" the area, making the scratch look less visible. See below...
The above scratches can only be repaired by repainting the area.
